The Coal Hole is part of a growing movement willing to take “direct action” against coal, and the destructive climate change it causes. We provide information about coal in the UK, and all the great things people are doing to take a stand against it.

The Government is busy  talking about addressing climate change, while supporting dirty power stations and subsidising coal mines. We do not need new coal mines or coal-fired power stations. Renewable technologies can power Britain cleanly and securely and deliver a clean industrial revolution which can provide safety and jobs for the UK.

Since 2007 we’ve been reporting on coal and coal protest in the UK. We don’t organise protests, but we’re happy to feature yours.
